Re: My friend wants to trade me his prelude for my civic
I just realized something, your friend is not really a good friend if he really knows about cars haha....cuz this deal is really really tilted in his favor...and yes, used A/C is $300 bucks from a civic DX if you have a junkyard near you. If you do decide to swap to B motors, the A/C system swaps right over, you'll just need to swap the compressor bracket to a CR-V and you're done, plug and play. $1000 on top with the hatch, that's NOT cool.

NO FREAKING WAY.
I traded my old Prelude straight up for my hatch and don't regret it one bit. The curb weight is what I disliked the most, 3000lbs. I would kill for your hatch, keep it. I'll trade you for my EG.

Why is this even a thread?
Seriously who cares if the prelude is faster then the civic.
It saves gas and that all it matters.

Dude don't do it. I love the midori green ek's, they are sexy and his car could take some engine repairs and yours looks amazing. Even though the engine is dohc, your car looks way better(from the way you described his car) I'd never give $1k cash and your car especially if you just got it painted.
I'd keep it and swap it if I were you

Do a compression check on his cylinders, if everything looks good, i would consider the trade w/o the 1g. Your hatch is to clean to trade for something that needs any work inside and out. But in my opinion i wouldnt trade, your car is super clean, your friend would be coming out ahead if you did trade.

I was never much into the color, but it's very sought after in the Honda scene.

People buy cars for reasons besides the gas mileage the car gets.

seems to me that your friend is trying to get over on you. i say keep your car and spend a fraction of that $1000 on a/c and other mods to your car

Re: My friend wants to trade me his prelude for my civic
I sold my Prelude and got my Civic because the aftermarket was much broader than that for the Prelude. Having the bastard child H23 made it worse. Everything was 3 times more expensive. I miss my Lude because it was a badass car and I owned it for 8 years and never gave me any touble. If I could have hooked it up as easy as I did the Civic I would have kept it.
