header heat shield help
hey guys i just painted my header heat shield black, with engine enamel which withstands 500 degrees, and i primed it beforehand, and i did a clear top coat, but the problem is that it is still bubbling up because of the heat from the shield, anyone know what i can do so that the paint stays on and doesnt try to come off, diff paint maybe?

Re: header heat shield help
Don't primer it or anything. I painted mine with 500' degree paint an it's fine. Sanded it down real good and do 3 good coats but you have to let it dry though for like 2 days.
