Whats up guys, im carlos, i'm new here. Just got a 93 del sol. This is my second car, leaving the saturn world. The 1.9L twin cam motors are just sweet but nobody makes aftermarket so i switched to honda. I also have a few questions since i bought the car. It has 117k and plan on hybriding soon.

-My tach is going crazy. Jumping up and down real fast. Do i need a new gauge cluster?

-I have plans to swap a h22. I thought swapping a b-series would be sweet, but h22 and k20a are the new thing, and have higher potential than b-series. How much would i spend on a h22 swap total?? Will i lose my a/c??

-any other cool sites on del sols would be cool to list.

No the engine doesn't bog or surge at all. It's really smooth. The tach is the problem for sure, but i'm looking for a fix.

I'd be kind of surprised if the tach was the problem (not saying it can't be). So your engine doesn't do anything strange at all? Like the tach jumps but the revs stay static? If so that's strange and I've never heard of that before...

I guess the problem is rare then. My engine does not seem like it loses power it all. It's slow as hell(stock 1.5L zc), but...I'm not losing power at all. When i step on it, the revs jump real smooth. The motor is just real smooth when it drives. Thanks for trying to help me out guys. Maybe i'll be needing a new cluster&gt;??

Your tach wire seems like it's not getting full contact.
Check the wiring going to distributor for any breaks in them.
I had similar problem. A simple butt connector were the break was, solved my problem.
It could also be dirt in your wiring harness. Welcome.
