My Civic D16Z6 does not start
Hi, sorry for my English, I'm from Argentina.
I have a problem with my honda civic 1.6 d16z6.
Disarm the distribution and I found that the belt is out of time, I corrected that question and I thought it was the solution. It was not!.
Still not starting, spray injectors, I have good spark in all the spark plugs and I have compression.

What I find strange, is that when the piston 1 is up, the rotor points to what would be the piston 3.
I already probe both ways and it does not work.
I know the power order is 1-3-4-2

Re: My Civic D16Z6 does not start
With the cam at TDC, the slot in the end of the camshaft should be straight up and down with the small groove toward the back of the car. This will cause the marks on the distributor base to line up and the rotor to point at wire #1 as shown in the manual.
Your pictures don't show that. This probably means that the timing pin between the cam sprocket and the actual camshaft has sheared. That will happen if the bolt holding the sprocket on becomes loose while running.
Or the camshaft could be broken, but in that case the distributor end likely would not rotate and there would be no spark.

Thanks Mk378, confirm what you suspected.
The key of the pulley of the camshaft was broken, for that reason one turned 1/4.
I send you a photo so you can see.
