Is my 94 Civic DX prewired for vtec?
i have heard a rumor that so 92-95 cars that had non-vtec engines were pre-wired for vtec wiring harness is this true cause im looking for a vtec dash harness and cant find a vtec one but have found some like dx ones

well i have a vtec engine harness so could i wire them to the cannon plugs and from there to the ecu and what do i have to wire in

No need to replace the entire dash harness for one or two extra wires.
If it's a JDM motor swap (or VTEC solenoid), you only need to add one wire from your passengers shock tower plug, down to the ECU (for VTEC sol). If it's a USDM VTEC solenoid, you need two wires (the second is VTEC pressure switch).
If you have JDM VTEC solenoid, and a USDM ECU, you need to bypass the ECU's pressure switch function at the ECU. I forget how to do this, but you simply jump two wires inside or outside the ECU. A search will tell you how to do this.
BTW: If your ECU is looking for knock sensor, you will need to add this wire as well. You will want to use sheilded wire and connect the sheild per the OEM wiring diagrams. I've used standard wire on a B16 w/ P30 ECU, but for some reason it runs really rich. I think it has to do with the non-sheilded wire.

that would probably work with the engine harness that i have except the knock sensor but i came find one for less then like 160 dollars and then i dont even know if its the right one so anyone know someone that has one
