Default motor swap help

I just swapped a b18b motor into my 97 ek hatch and im having problems with my speedo, tach and odometer working. They dont work at all. My ecu and wiring harness is from my 99 si coupe. Is there a difference between the ecu's from 96-98 and 99-00?

You used an OBD2b harness in an OBD2a chassis, so all the pins for the chassis harness (not engine harness) are different, hence why your cluster would be screwy. It's POLICY to keep the same OBD style harness as what your chassis is, unless you know how to and want to repin it. Basically your pins aren't lining up with the pins theyre supposed to be connected to.

96-98 = OBD2a
99-00 = OBD2b
...for civics at least.
