ive asked this and searched this question but no one has been able to answer it yet... i have a 97 civic coupe.. i put a 00 sir engine in ... and now im putting a d16y7 back into it... the d16y7 is a 96 .. and the harness behind the dash is from the 00 sir... how can i get the wiring right without pulling the dash again?? can i use the 99-00d16y7 engine harness and ecu ?? i have the 96 ecu.. but i am told it wont work with the 99-00 wiring.... i havent bought my engine harness yet because i need to know which one to go with for the least problems..

The 99-00 D16 harness is the same as the 96-98 DX harness. Since you've swapped the interior harness to the 99-00 Si you are gonna have to swap the 96-98 interior harness back in to use the D16 swap. The 96 ecu wil lthen work with the 96-98 interior harness.

Yup. I just went through a similar experience. I got a 96 EX harness for my 96 car, it turned out that someone redid the dash harness to 99-00 so I had to buy another 99-00 Si harness to install my H22!! Good luck.
