motor not running good, need help.
I put a new y8 head, oil pan and crank pulley on my motor the other day. After I got it all to gether and started it, it made some ticking noises under the valve cover. So I did a valve adjustment. While doin the Adjustment I noticed the TDC mark on the pulley didn't line up with the UP on the cam gear. I adjustied it so that it matched and proceeded to finish the valve adjustment. I get it all done, do the ingnition timing and this is where my question comes in. While the motor is cold it acts fine, but when it warms up the idle drops. While driving the car, when I press on the clutch pedal, it acts like it is going to die. The idle drops to 0 and the battery light flickers on and off. It also seems to lag or hesitate from idle to about 3500 rpm. I need help to figure out what is wrong.
This is in a 93 Si hatch, using a OBD1, P28 and a 93 DX distributor.
Can anyone help me get my car running good.

did you make sure when you put the pulley on that it was going on the right teeth, not so you have the pulley spun, and what appears to be the correct timing isnt, sounds like its retarded if anything, you try a timing light on it all either

ive timed it and everything. the timeing is perfext. 16 BTDC or even 18 degrees. I can even make it got futher than 18...somehow..and only sometimes...and it still acts the same.
It is a compley y8 now. I used to have a z6 head on it.
