My cx tranny on my D16z6 motor is going like WOA!!! I don't know whether the clutch somehow was put on wrong (no I didn't check) and it was off center or if the throwout is bad or if it is just time for the tranny to die. I have a bitch of a time downshifting (have to revmatch). Picture coming to a red light in second gear...I push in the clutch and try to pull out of second and it sticks and squeals really bad. I have to rev it up to get it out of gear sometimes. Any ideas???

does it make noise when you are not pressing clutch?? and does it go away when you push in clutch?

yup, that's exactly what happens....sounds awful, but iuno sounds to me like your syncros are goin out......are any other gears particularly more difficult to downshift into than any others?

im having the same problem...How long can I dirve it like that before it goes out on me ??I hope I can buiild my c1 before the tranny goes.

Well be nice to your tranny and don't force gears and it should last a while...Hondas don't die if you treat them properly. I have had this problem for almost 3 months....still hasn't ate it. Course now it will cuz I said that...

Yes and no....it does it worse...almost like a clicking...when I am NOT pushing it in. When I do push it in it gets better but it still has alot of noise.

Does it only do it in 2nd gear? Sounds like it's an actualy gear problem. have you checked your shift linkage either?
