i vote vaccume leak. sounds to me the only think possible if he just took off one head and popped in another. ( i hope you pulled the oil plug). either that or your timing really is off.

but with a vacuum leak, wouldn't the car still run, but really wierd? Even with a vacuum leak, it would shut off with out gas right? And yes, i pulled the oil plug on the block.

yes it would run without a vacuum leak. no it wouldnt turn off without gas. It would idle high.

i appologize i ment the round side but yea rywire has it correct.Somtimes just because you see spark dosent mean its strong enough maybe try your ignition coil or another dizzy if you have one.I did have a customer at work who has msd installed and his car wouldnt start .When i put a spark plug to the wires it was getting spark but was looking kinda weak came to find out he had a dent in his msd coil which caused it to not work right replaced it and ran fine
