What car and engine?

Have you checked cylinder compressions?

Are the spark plug wires attached to the distributor cap in the correct firing order?

Is spark bright white or weak orange or blue at the plugs?

Any CEL codes?

ok..i had a p28 ecu that was chipped before but the chip was taken out. the two jumpers and th erev limiter chips are still on there. i swapped that for my original p06 and it started. only problem is, it wont stay started unless i keep giving it gas. could it be my ignition coil or switch? it runs like a subaru when it is running

lol..sorry im going h2b. Im waiting on my manifold from obx and axles from gator. im just doing this because i never have done a mini me and wanted to see how it is. Never thought i would run into this many problems.

If i use a stock p28, do you think that will make it stay on at idle with out gas?

ok..cool! the p28 that i am using was chipped but the chip was removed but the jumpers and the rev limiter chip are still on there. would that make a difference?

ekb16a...would a leak like that cause it to shut off when no gas is applied?

With the p28 it wouldnt start at all. then i tried my stock p06 and it will start, sounds like a wrx like timing..but that was triple checked and it will not stay on unless i keep giving gas.

my p06 is as stock as you can get. it should make it run decent, but with no vtec right? I have that plug in now and it starts but wont stay running. the p28, it wont even turn over..

yes because its the same plug. It sounds very possible that you mixed it up, because you have to give it gas in order for it to run.
