Default Megan GSR 4-1 on B16

I want to get a Megan 4-1 Header for a GSR because it has a 2.5'' Collector, they dont make that one for my 99 SI. Will it fit, like will it clear the oil pan? Because I remember I gave my friend a Mugen header for a B16 and it wouldnt clear the oil pan on his GSR?

Anyone that has done this header on a B16 in an SI please let me know, thanks

Right your's didn't fit his because he has a bigger motor and therefore slightly longer...so then being that your motor is smaller then the header will clear and then some...there will actually be some gap between the oil pan and header.

Is it the one for a GSR w/ a 2.5'' collector? They only seem to make the 2.5'' one for a GSR, that why im askin this? So is it safe for me to order this header now w/ no worries?

Thanks for the info

It'll fit fine, they're both B series, and as far as oil pan clearance goes, the GSR is bigger than the B16 (from bottom of oilpan to exhaust ports) so if it fits on the GSR it'll fit on the B16 but not vice-versa.. It'll fit. You may even have a small space inbetween the header and the oil pan...but it'll fit fine..

fitment is fine, but i lost power due to the rocky ports on the inside. ported them out and still didn't do much. there is a blue spot on the top of each pipe, (ceramic) where the header gets no flow. if u look on the inside, u can also see where there is no carbon buildup on the pipes, the blue spots, again from lack of flow. bad investment for power.

Can anyone attest to this? I heard it made as much power as the JDM ITR? True? Dynos to prove?

the pipe is tucked into the flange, reducing the port diameter.

Is ground clearance an issue with the longer GSR header on a B16? I have seen people bang up headers that where made to fit there car, much less using a longer header.

Thats a given with lowered civics. Most headers get banged at the bottom, unless u are super careful

Yeah I heard the Megan has really bad ground clearance so either watch out for those lumps in the road or raise the car
