Map sensor help!
so i put a motor in my car that had the map sensor mounted to the firewall, my car came stock with a motor that had the map mounted to the throttle body. I got the throttle body from a z6 and put it on my motor and pinned the three wires to the map sensor from a messed up harness i had. I'm still throwing code 3 any ideas?

Your post confuses me, why did you add wires the harness, if the original engine had a throttle body mounted map sensor then the wires should still be there. Or did you use the harness that came with the new engine as well?

i used the harness that came with the motor because i bought the car as a shell and never had another motor to get a harness from, i had another harness but its cut to hell and back

94 - '95 DX/LX harness should solve your wiring problems provided you didn't cut the harness going to the shock tower plug, provided the map sensor is actually good.

the map sensor plugs are all the same, why didn't you just plug the plug into the other style map sensor or move the map sensor to fit your engine? Either map sensor reads the same, just different mounting point. Check your map pinning against another honda that runs without the map code. Make sure you have the wires in the right order.

The problem is he didn't have a map sensor plug. '92 - '93 DX/LX harness in anything but a '92 - '93 DX/LX leaves you without a connector for the map sensor. (the wiring for civics with firewall mounted sensors comes straight from the ECU through the firewall to the map sensor, its not integrated into the engine harness at all, this is why when you use a '92 - '93 DX/LX harness in a '94 - '95 you wont have a map sensor connector.)

fixed it, it was the ecu, switched one out with my friends and it didn't throw a code, this was after i pinned the map sensor wires into the connector from the firewall
