MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH MY B16A!!!!PLEASE HELP
So tonight i put on a new vtec solenoid becuase my old one was having emotional issues. anyway, after its on and the the bolts are tight i decide to take a test drive...as im pulling out of the driveway i notice a nice thick trail of oil on the ground behind me...****.
After my car's back in the garage i notice that the vtec soleniod is where the oil's leaking out of so i go to tighten the three bolts. as i'm tightening the first one it doesn't seem to be getting tighter, i don't take the hint and keep on going...next thing the damn bolt snaps off...oh ****.
so now i have a leaky engine and half a bolt that won't come out. i don't know what the **** to do. so does anyone have any idea why the vtec solenoid leaked oil? and do suggest i take my car to a machine shop to take the broken bolt out. lastly, does anyone know of a good way to get oil off an unprotected concrete drive way?
any help would be greatly appreciated. please don't leave smartass comments about how im a dumb *** for this...i already know

Re: (Andres-eh2)
power washer for the driveway.
And what the last guy said for the bolt. amke sure the solenoid fits correctly before you bolt it down, sounds like you are missing a gasket somewhere.

Hey man, sorry to hear about your luck.
Its not that bad, you might have to drill that bolt out, and put some cat litter down where the oil is, it'll soak it up. Then sweep it up and throw it out.

im guessing you either didnt put the gasket back on or you try to resuse the old gasket. (which is still a no-no). then you over tighten those small bolts and brake one. hard luck bro.
get that broken bolt out, and get a new gasket and torque that thing down right,

its also possible that he used a new gasket, but he torqued it down so tight that it ruined the gasket and somehow didnt set right.
listen to this guy...get the bolt out, get a NEW gasket, and USE A HELMS FOR TORQUE SPECS!!!!!
