Vtec Solenoid help :(
i was putting on my vtec solenoid on my gsr and the bottom bolt broke. its flush with the head so i used a bolt extractor and then that pos broke so i used a dremel to level it again and tried another screw extractor but it wouldn't drill into the broken on. so i took the vtec solenoid and put hondabond over the gasket and put it on using the 2 screws left. it looks flush all around and isn't loose. do you think this will hold? has any one ever done this?
Lots of pressure runs through there...may be risky. I know I had a stripped bolt on my old solenoid, and the bitch dripped oil at idle...I can't imagine what it would have been like at VTEC. Try it if you dare, but beware.
