Default Major Electrical problem please help

I was installing fog lights for my ek this morning and the kit doesnt come with any instruction, so i thought i could just wire the switch harness to any +12 ignition wire, since the wire under the hood(brown plug is what actually supplies power to the lights). Long story short, i wired them to my autometer water temp gauge, which in turn taps power from the gauge cluster B plug(one right above speedo). At first everything works, drove it for 1 minute, then the speedo went crazy, autometer water temp gauge and fogs stop working. I pulled over, disconnect the fogs, starts the car back up, and i got code 41 and 65(primary and secondary O2 sensor heater), and the speedo flutuates up and down. drove it like that for half a day without any problem other than the speedo and cel. Then tonight, it started idling funny from time to time, idles kinda high and surges a bit, check the cel again, still had the 41 and 65, but i got 2 new codes, 17(VSS sensor), and 70(automatic transaxle) (yes i drive an auto).

and about the fluctuating speedo, it's not just the oem gauge cluster, my fields vafc speedo is going crazy too(it's wired to the ecu)

so where does that wire i tapped into on the gauge cluster go? it's on the B plug(big one at the top), black wire white strip.
what can the problem be? a relay? melted wires/shorts somewhere? ecu?
any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

sounds like your overloading whatever wire you tapped into. un hook it and start over. if you need a power source tap your fuse box.

it's already unhooked, but the damage is already done, something is toast
