Are LSD trannys worth the extra $$?
Are LSD trannys worth the money? I would love to road race/drag race my car but right now it's just a daily driven beater. My 3rd gear syncro is toast so I was thinking of using it as an excuse to do a relatively cheap B16 swap. HMO wants $300 more for the LSD trans. Is it worth it?

Yup...LSD is great if you have any amount of real power at all. That's the next thing I need to do with mine.

Really? Can anyone explain the science behind it. (ya I'm a n00b but who cares atleast I ask)
I have the understanding that it prevents just one wheel from receiving all the power and spinning, and forces both to? Something like that?

Yup, you've pretty much got it covered. Just keeps from spinning one wheel and not putting any power down.

my 60 foots didn't improve any at the track on street tires. 2.0 with and 2.0 without. the e.t. didn't go down either. it's good for hauling *** through turns on the street (track i mean ) and you can definitely tell you have it. you will still spin tires.

guy i know put down about 400 and change on his way to running a 12.3 in the 1/4 in his daily driven, full interior 2000 ITR. that LSD took about 50 track launches and countless street launches and still left two perfect black strips whenever he felt like showing off. honda LSDs are BAD ***.
