Is it worth it to get an LSD transmission if you don't have one, like how good is an LSD. It kinda seems over rated to me, thanks. What improvements were made?

 

SCC tells how it helps overall handling and how you dont get just 1 wheel diggin you get two.

if you carve corners or autocross / roadrace it is definitely worth it.

if you drag race for fun its kind of worth it maybe sorta.

if you drag race competitively it is necessary and very worth it.

you can install one yourself with not too many tools. I did just that in my GSR tranny, spent one weekend dropping the tranny, replacing the clutch and installing an ITR LSD. Car handled so much better after that, but if you dont drive super hard or "race" you wont notice much.

The way that you worded your post leaves me to think that you may be confused as to what an LSD transmission is. (not to be insulting!)

A transmission that has a limited slip differential (from the factory) isn't designed any different than a non-LSD transmission (the gear ratios may be different)!! It's just that it has a different differential.

It's possible to add an LSD to almost all (if not all) Honda transmissions.
