ls vtec trouble plz help
so i had bought a msd ignition/dizzy set up a while back finally put it on didnt wrk so put stock dizzy back on car dont run like b 4 test drive come back and the cat is red hot so figure tht was prob so hallowed it out car still not right check timing it looks fine thn a friend said dizzy might b on wrong flip it didnt wrk basiclly it runs but ntt right, ntt sure what happnd cylender 1 and 4 get hot asap and 2 and 3 are normal motor is b18b block with gsr head used all ls belt water pump oil pump also it has jg edel intke manni and aem fuel reg injectors stock gsr any ideas?

Wow, punctuation is so important to understanding what someone is saying.
So right now, the engine won't start, right? Does the fuel pump prime and is there spark at the plugs? Is the CEL ON?
By the way, the glowing red cat indicates that the engine was running extremely rich.

Enigine starts up fine but soon as u accelerate it runs horible and running it for 1 min cyl 1and4 get hot too fast it get fuel and spark because it starts no engine light. .... also jump what connector?

The service connector for retrieving CEL codes must also be jumped when adjusting the ignition timing.
If you construct more coherent and properly punctuated sentences, it will be much easier to help you.

When we start it we let it idle. The. Push accelerator it sound as it something is keeping it from runing normal we took out plugs 1 2 3 and 4 and 1 and 4 were white and 2 and 3 kinda smelld like gas also headers on 1 and 4 get super hot wen running for about 1min

ok ill try it what plugs would be good tho gsr or ls since its ls-vtec, i know wires are good but ntt sure bout cap and rotar ill check it out

switched plug runs lil better but seems lie 1 and 4 get hot faster any other suggestions or is it norm on ls vtec

you said you flipped the distributor over? as in you rotated the shaft 180 degrees? Last time my friend did that he bent valves.

How is adjusting your ignition timing going to bend valves and it will only fit one way. WTF? Sounds like you got your firing order all f'd up and its igniting the mixture as its leaving the cylinder on 1 and 4.
How do you know there super hot, can you actually see the exhaust mani getting red? or what?

the distributor only fit one way flush, and runs norm at idel but when we test drive it back fire sorta and like sumn is resisting it and wen we start it just to see how it runs for about a min we shut it off and the headers 1 and 4 are like really hot compared to 2 and 3 but we dont have no check engine light also replaced plugs and switched wires its send good spark at idel as we checked tht
