LS/Vtec bogging problems. >:O
Alright, so my engine is being a pain in the *** and I need to get it fixed so I can get to work. I have an LS/Vtec with a B16 head. I just got a new dizzy and now the car starts up but it starts to bog and shut off. Anyone know what the deal could be? Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: The motor is in a 96 Civic coupe and OBD1 with a chipped p28.

How positive are you sure its not the distributer. I hope its Brand new and not off another car because thats my only guess on bogging. You did check your oil level right?

The dizzy isnt BRAND new. I just bought it off another h-t member this morning and he told me that he tested it to see that it was working. I didn't check the oil level yet, but that could cause the motor to bog and shut off?

try to take off the return line and see if fuel is dumping out. when does the car bogg? does it go away. has it done this before or first time started car. try to recheck timming. make sure you have the right timming belt on it
