LS TURBO---VTEC NEEDED????
Hey everyone i just wanted to clear this up.... I am new to the honda scene and planning to build a ls motor for turbo. Since i am going turbo is it giong to help or hurt me if i put a say b16 head? I know this might have been covered but i search and this seems to be to general question for the search thing. Oh and i have a EK hatch which i just bought. Previous cars 97 TT Supra 99 C43 and 91 MR2 (NA). Anyways as you can see i have no experience with hondas and this is going to be my race car. And my goal is the most power so Daily driving is not my worry.
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance

It'll help but I say screw it. LS TUrbo is plenty. If you're building it just build it to handle like 16 psi. Who needs vtec when you have boooooost

If you'll gonna be building it and have the money why not just do built gsr? I know kids with stock gsrs on 8 psi goin 13.1. Jerry Gardella with a fully built gsr goes 8.40 but hes pushing over 1000 to the wheels

go vtec if you have a vtec motor...
since your boosting it keep it a straight LS....dont complicate things more by throwing a vtec head on your LS...

Re: LS TURBO---VTEC NEEDED???? (degooser)
Man there are some many diff. routes you can go. I think you need figure out how far you want to go in speed terms and how reliable you want it to be. If you want vtec go with a gsr motor.....I know ls/vtecs can be nice and all but if you plan on spending alot of money by a gsr block and sleeve it. If you want to just go with the ls do it lots of people are making lots of power and running outstanding times with the motor. I myself love ls motor the cheap and have lots of potential.

Re: LS TURBO---VTEC NEEDED???? (BADEG6)
well what is the better platform to go? I am so confused by seeing all these different setups. My goal is just power. Dont really care about driveability. But i have been warned about teh reliability of the ls vtec. So my options are either full ls or gsr huh? Well what do you guys reccomend. keep in mind i want the most power i can get.. i am used to 400+ as my supra is very strong bpu. So please give some opinions or examples!!! Thanks!
