Looking for an opinion on a car...
I'm in the market for a civic. I'm looking for a lower miles civic and they are very hard to find in my area. I've considered higher mile cars if they run well. But I'm looking for a car to Drive to Arizona in the next month. It has to be an ek hatchback. check this one out and let me know what you think before I call him up.

yeah try to get it for $4K ... look all over the place for little problems that may be a problem later ... make sure the timeing belt has been replaced... and make sure all the maintnece has been kept up like .(ekcivic9) said
and for every thing thats wrong with the car ask him to take off a little more money ... and so on and so on ...
like if it needs new tires $-200
and make sure everything works ... i fucked up on my first car ... i got it it was cold out and i thought the A/C worked later on i relized that the compressor had no belt .. and it wasnt even working

Cool, i'll call him tomorrow and see what he has done as far as maintaining the car. He seems like a guy that would hang out on H-T the way he styled his car... But who knows.

looks real clean for that price.. check it out and make sure the motor has no oil leaks and the tranny doesnt grind.. check everything you can. i bought my ek maybe 3 weeks ago from a guy for 5 and my o2 sensor wires were cut, and the tranny grinds a little.

i would offer 4k for it, go through and pick the car to death, say all the things that are wrong or could be wrong with it.
also ask if he did the upgrades him self, if he did that greatly can lower the price.

Yeah, I know how to check for wrecks pretty well... Like for welding spots inside the engine bay. Uneven lineup of fenders/hood etc.
