Default Little problem with clutch engaging arm(?) sitting on pressure plate, wont back off.....

Well i recently dropped in my motor and trans into my hatch and just noticed last night that the arm that holds the thrust bearing on is getting pushed forward towards the pressure plate so the bearing is like at a constant contact with the plate. I can manually move it back off but it just springs forward. What do i do? I reaaaally don't want to take the tranny off. Thanks guys.

have you adjusted the free play of the clutch M/C it might be set to far forward causing the slave to engage a little
