little education needed on small things.
Sup I have integra 95 and civic si 96
(canada)
i need to do two killswitches, 1 in each.
I'm not going the route of adding wire to the fuel pump under the seats or by the kick panels etc, cause it isn't the best way to go about placing a good cutoff switch, however dont get me wrong it is a working way, just not my favorable way.
Which means i wanna cut the fuel and the ECU at the main relay so the car deadning is instant and it doesnt turn on for any period of time.
What im asking for is:
Which guage wire to use, i have spare speaker wire will this work?
Also what is the best switch to use any specfic wattage or w/e ??
Finally i need to know which ports and where to do the wireing to the relay.
any pics or writes ups or link to how tos would be great.
thanks

Speaker wire would be noticeable and kind of unclean. 18 gauge would be best for this.
Use the smallest switch you can find for the main relay ground, it takes just a few milliamps of power. Fuel pump uses 10 to 15 amps, you can find a switch of this capacity at Walmart or AutoZone.
Find and cut the ground lead on the PGM-FI main relay (will be black, but there are a few dark wires) and run it to one pole of the switch, with a female slide connect holding it on, and the other pole to a bit of wire leading to a ring terminal leading to a ground point somewhere.
I think the Integra main relay is around the driver kick panel. The 96 Si/EX has it on the passenger dashboard area, hidden by the glove compartment.

Re: little education needed on small things.
okay I have 18 guage wire and I took out the glove box completly from the passenger side of the civic and the relay is there like u said.
Also took out the integra kickpanel/lower panel below the steering wheel and the main relay is visible as well now for the integra.
Going to pickup some switches today and take some pics of everything and go from there.
I'll keep you posted schister66 for your records.

I dont mean to sound like a jerk, but the best security is the security no one knows about. Integra, if i were you, id keep it quiet.

not a jerk at all. just stating your two cents which is very true. thing is im in canada and no matter where i go or what i do and or talk about or show on here, no1 knows the outside of my car and or knowone on here will know where i hide it.
Everybody knows two reasons for things to not start is a fuel cutoff or an alarm, once theives bypass alarms and or other tack ticks the only one left is a fuel cutoff, wether it cuts the ecu or fuel or both it doesnt matter cause if the theive has time to look for it, there isnt much any security known or unknown will do vs time ;p.
besides this is just one option of security i have on these cars, i already have the hood cables relocated 2x alarms, wheel bar etc etc, im just trying to get info on which ones to cut and where to wire into and what do to as to i didint do it before :p
