Line running to bottom of Radiator?? What is it for?
I was draining the coolant and flushing it, and there was a hose connected to the bottom of the radiator which leaked out this maroonish red liquid, this hose is connected to the transmission. What is this line for, why is it connected to the radiator? Also I noticed on my friends automatic civic he had two lines instead of one, why is this? What is the purpose of the extra line on an auto?

That is for the ATF. (Automatic Tranny Fluid)
It is only used in automatic cars, not in manual tranny cars.

Re: (Eran)
ok now i know what it is but what does it do? does it keep the tranny fluid cool, but that doesn't make any sense! If its just an in an out then there is no reason to have it hooked up to the radiator and i could just hook the hoses up together, so it must do something with the fluid.....anyone know?

No radiator fluid flows through it. It's a sealed tank. It's basically to route tranny fluid AWAY from the transmission, pass it through a cooler chamber (one surrounded by air-cooled water), and route it back to the transmission. It basically utilizes coolant temperatures to lower the temperature of your ATF.
