I am in the process of a lsvtec build into a 94 Civic coupe. Since the previous owner owner hacked the factory fuel lines into pieces I am doing a -6an fuel setup from the pump to the rail. Only problem I have run into is what in line fuel filter should I use? I know the aeromotive filter is really nice but I can only find it in red and with -10an fittings. I would rather not buy the -6an to -10an adapters since I will need to and they are around $20 a piece locally. I have found -6an fitting fuel filters out there. My question is is a -6an fuel filter ok or should I just deal with the cost and buy the fittings and aeromotive fuel filter? I am running a walboro 255 in tank and will be running 1000cc injectors (havent purchased yet). Any advice is appreciated.

Where are YOU looking? I have in my hands a BLACK Russel Performance inline filter with -6AN ends. Putting together a new fuel line to make some room for my catchcan. What's wrong with using one? I don't get the basis for your apprehension.

I am new to the honda game. I have help build a couple motors and done a couple swaps but this is my first personal build and I am doing it from the ground up. I use to be in the SRT4 game. I have no clue where to get quality honda parts from. Just getting use to everything. Thanks for the link. I will be ordering tonight.

Are you using an OEM style pump (OEM or Wablro etc) with the stock "sock" that goes on the pump? If so, I believe that is a pre-pump filter of ~35 micron. The OEM Honda fuel filter in the engine bay is something like 8-10 micron so you would want something close to that.

Again, this is all from my research. I am sure there are numerous people out there running 40 micron filters with no problems. However, if the stock sock in the tank filters up to 35, what is the point of having a 40 micron downstream?

The only brand name in line filter I could find which was reasonably priced was from a company called fuel lab selling a 10 micron filter. They offer -6an male ports on each side of the filter, too. Oh, and the fuel lab units feature replaceable filter inserts if you plan on using it for awhile.

EDIT - Looking on the site that grumble sent there is an Aeromotive unit they are selling which is 10 microns.
