My ej8 has been doing this for the past 3 years. Changed the alt, all the grounds were re-done, new battery, everything you could think of, still does it. I just gave up. I don't have a loss of power though.
Bump incase someone out there knows why the hell honda's do this.

Re: (Ser1N)
I even went to the point to install a volt meter and at lower rpms the meter reads a little over 12 and anything over 50mph it reads right at the 13.7-14. Damn honda's might be reliable but do they ever have those little problems that don't hurt anything, just damn annoying. Oh well, life goes on.

Re: (sicky)
I FOUND THE PROBLEM!!! well for mine.. a ground wire next to the headlamp thats attached to the body with about 4 wires. I cleaned it all up with a wire brush making a solid connection and it fixed it. i did it on both sides. so in my case it was a ground connection problem.

Re: lights dimming down (existanzcivicb20)
ok thanks to all that posted and for the people that are on the same boat as me I finally found my problem it was my spark plugs
I got new ones last night and it fixed my lights they dont dime down any more and if it doesnt work for you try cap and rotor and
even spark plug wires
