all lights dim
Recently put a 97 gsr in a 00 civic dx.
For some reason, when I gas it, the lights dim - headlights, dash, cluster, radio - all of it. Then, as I move up in the RPM, after a certain RPM the lights all come back to being fully lit.
If, for example, I'm in 2nd gear and I gas it, all the lights are dim. Then, let's say I'm at 25mph and I let go of the gas (to engine brake or what not), after about 2 seconds, all the lights are fully lit again. If I gas it again, the lights go dim again. Then if I floor it, after a certain RPM, all the lights are back on until I shift into 3rd. Same thing for all gears pretty much.
What could the problem be? The guy who installed my motor hadn't even heard of this problem before, and he's been doing swaps for a long time now (and is also a member of this board). Any insight will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

same thing happen when i swaped my 98 gsr with a jdm 98 itr. i thought it was my sound system so i intalled a capaciter. it didnt help, i dont know why but i think it i need a higher output alternater....the one i have now is working to normal specs but i think something might be pulling more power than it should. might be my HID lights. but i dont know jsut guessing.
