Knock Sensor Question
Today as we speak we are taking out my friends d16y8 motor and dropping my my d16z6 motor since he has rod knock due to his car gettig stolen and someone drove it really hard!
Anyways . . . . the y8 has a knock sensor, and there is no spot for it on the d16z6 block . . . .
Any Suggestions On What To Do? Will the Check Engine Light Eluminate if we do not plug it in?
Any and all suggestions would be very much appreciate . . . thanks in advance guys

Re: Knock Sensor Question (Vtec92Civic)
you will get a CEL. Do what LS/VTEC guys do and drill & tap a hole for the knock sensor.
Only way to really do it.

Ive heard of people finding threaded holes somewhere on the engine or transmission and screwing them in.
Drilling and tapping seems to be the popular way.
