just changed my distributor...oh no..

Default just changed my distributor...oh no..

so... i removed my distributor. didn't mark my timing but i'm roughly off by a less than 1/2 an inch. feels a little sluggish. did i do something wrong?

oh yeah... my air condition pulley broke off and my belts both tore. i have no idea why

get a timing light and put it back in spec

belts were probably too tight.

will it be ok for the time being...i'm planning to do my timing belt/water pump/valves changed sometime soon.

as long as its mechanically correct, you won't damage anything. Just set the dizzy right in the middle until you have time to more throughly check things out.

running with your ignition "only 1/2" inch" off could cause problems.
as easy as setting the timing is, even in sub-20* weather here in chicago, just do it.

yea it will only ping if timing is off too much and melt your pistons, it will be ok though
