What year EX?
For 96-00 EX's, use 5W30 oil (I use Castrol GTX), OEM Oil Filter and drain plug washer, NGK Spark Plugs and OEM wires.
You can't go wrong with OEM parts.

Re: (02z2899ex)
Two of the best things I ever bought where the oil is concerned, is a magnetic drain plug, and a big magnet for the oil filter. Helps keep more of the little metal shavings and crap out of the system.
