jun 3 cams in stock b16a2 worth it ?
would it be a waste and poor decision to put them into totally stock b16a2 on stock compression ?
before i get flamed reaon i ask is below
i have all the parts for minor build (jun 3 cams, portflow springs/retainers, ctr pistons, fpr and also bought exedy clutch and act flywheel as thought engine would be comin out so good time to change).
anyway, at the time i got carried away and just received price for all the work (im in u.k) and was kinda by the price. basically cant afford it all and also need to get my piggyback ecu remapped and cams tuned(lookin at $500 just for remap/tuning).
now thinkin of sellin all the stuff and savin for a while. probably look into better $ per bhp option.

without tuning the cams (on a dyno) - no its not worth it. Even if you did get them tuned you might only get a few whp. I would not install them on a stock motor
might wanna seach on clearance (valve to piston) if you wind up installing the CTR pistons...that combo would be we'll worth it. if i were you I would hold out & save your money & get everything installed (& motor rebuilt)
are you CTR pistons stock size? if so sell 'em & get the .25 overbore...then save your $ & get the cylinders bored out...with that combo & proper tuning I think you could hit 190+ whp edit the reason why you don't want to replace with stock size pistons is you could easily have ring sealing issues

have std bore pistons, boring would mean lot more cost.
on value basis it seems bhp i would get is poor. i alredy have everything else bolted on like i/h/e, im, t/b, piggback ecu etc.
just been workin costs out and i for current cost of parts/work i could prob buy a fully built shortblock from u.s (1.9-2l) and have that shipped over and bolted on and easy get 200-210 whp
