Jumpy idle
I installed a gsr throttle body monday. I test drove it and it worked great. Today though I had a problem. When I turned off the fan inside the car the idle started to get jumpy. Turned it back on and the idle goes back to normal. Guess when the amp starts to draw more juice it smoothes out the idle. How should I adjust this?
Also it idles at around 1100rpm

Re: Jumpy idle (turboman)
You can adjust your idle by using the screw on the throttle body....Its a flathead screw near the MAP sensor...It usually has this wax-like sealer on it if it has never been adjusted before. Also, you may have to advance/retard the dizzy!!! That will make your idle change as well... Make sure u get that right before u go racin people. Bump for more solutions!!!

Re: Jumpy idle (DBLAZE)
Oh yeah....and your idle is slightly high, but mine also idles at 1100....I did that on purpose so that when i use my AC (cause its hot as hell), it goes to about 900 comfortably...

Re: Jumpy idle (DBLAZE)
I played with the fuel mix during lunch a bit. I still want to try turnin g th eidle down. But it was running rich. I had to turn it down alot to get it in the ballpark. Could the bigger throttle body cause it to run rich at idle?
Well hopefully I will have everything installed in another month so I can get it tuned right.
