jdm d15b vtec into 00 civic si (ex)
blew up my second d16y8 the other night from a spun bearing, nomore y7's or y8s for me. i have the chance to grab a jdm d15b but was wondering if it will work since my cars obd2? can i use my p2p computer and wiring harness? i know being obd2 i got a knock sensor and crank position sensor or some **** but i found a write up on how to get around it being splicing some wires by the ecu. Can i do this and what about the dizzy would i use the d15b or my y8 ? putting the y8 intake manifold on the d15b is it worth it?

this is very simple
ditch the p2p and use a p28
get urself a obd2a (96-98) or obd2b (99-00) ---> obd1 conversion harness and you're set

dont waste your money, park that thing save up build a cheap ls/vtec, and buy a hatch beater for the time being, d16y8 is a waste of money unless you plan of dumping loads of money into them for good power

Yes you can. Just swap any applicable sensors.

to this guy.
Get a conversion harness, run the JDM D15b with a P28 ECU, VTEC and everything'll plug right up.

why do all that when you can just buy a conversion harness for 50 bucks off ebay, get a p28 for a 100....the d15b should be a direct swap in, i'd recomend using the y8 manifold and there ya go, a running car...if you keep the p2p ecu, i believe the timing and fuel maps are alittle different...
and you could use the obd2 harness if you convert to obd1 otherwise if you stay obd2, you'll throw cel if you dont wire up all the sensors that the obd1 dont have....
