I've never seen a vtec solenoid like this??
I had bought my B16a, and for some reason the vtec solenoid didn't have a pressure switch in it, I got to looking and there isn't even any threads in the solenoid for one, I've known this for awhile and the car is still under construction at the moment, just hadn't gotten around to posting anything on it. Does anybody know the reasoning for this??

looks like someone might have taken off the vtec oil pressure switch? well my jdm solenoid doesnt even have a hole in it for the vtec oil pressure... interesting..

Oh lol gotcha lol.. Well I was just wondering on why, because I knew the USDM obd2's came with the oil pressure switch, but you're right this is a JDM Obd2 going in my car.. So I just need to get a new vtec solenoid casing and i'll use the top of this one, it might do pretty. I got this motor from Best Japanese Engines and they had taken it in on trade, the guy wanted this motor out and put a c5 in his car, I think he was mad because vtec didn't work lol... thanks man.

yea that's what I was thinking, but i can't even screw the oil pressure switch into it

oh then its jdm.. you wouldnt need it if you have a jdm ecu as well.. unless you have a usdm ecu then you would need one or you can do the bypass trick for the oil pressure switch

Nope I have a Chipped p72 that i'm hooking it up to.. what do you mean the bypass trick??? I hope you're not talking about hooking it up on switch lol... i've done that a few times I just want this one done right lol.

you can get a chip burned with vtec pressure switch disabled, and have one wire vtec, just like stock

Info below is all taken from Katman's ff-squad website, a truly excellent resource.
Take the power wire for the VTPS and splice it into the VTS wire, then take the VTPS ground wire and ground it to the actual body of the VTEC Solenoid - that's it! If done correctly, your ecu will not throw a check engine light for code 22 (VTPS). If you wind up using a JDM OBD2 ecu, you do not need to perform this VTPS fix, because the JDM OBD2 ecu doesn't look for a VTPS.
