Default how does vtec work on a d15b w/o oil pressure switch?

i just noticed my d15b does not have oil pressure switch for vtec and ive been reading that they come like this. can someone explain to me how vtec works without the oil pressure switch. and can someone show me how to wire vtec up properly to a 92 civic cx. i've searched and i just need to wire from the vtec solenoid to the connector near my shock tower. is that it? will my vtec work with just one wire from the vtec solenoid and a p08 ecu?

The Oil Pressure switch doesn't turn on or off VTEC, the solenoid does that.
The oil pressure switch reads oil pressure, if there is enough, with other things in place, it will allow the solenoid to switch into VTEC.

If the ECU being used looks for the VTEC Oil Pressure switch, then it is needed. If not, the ECU isn't reading oil pressure from there, and then the switch is not needed. Type R and some others are just the same.

You can ground the VTEC oil pressure sensor pinout and the ECU'll always think there's enough pressure for VTEC.
