Intake manifold cruise control port problem
I recently tried changing my oil and oil filter. tried to reach the oil filter from above, and when i was taking my hand out, my hand could have unplugged something(my mistake). I checked and saw my cruise control hose that supposely goes behind the intake manifold was loose, and i plugged it back in.
Now when I try to start the car it starts and dies immediatly or have to keep it alive by giving it gas. I tried unplugging the cruise control hose, leaving the port behind the intake manifold open and the car starts and works normal and the port keeps sucking air. when i cover the port with my finger the car idles lower.
car/engine= civic 96 ex coupe, d16y8 manual
car was fine before, not sure what more could have gotten loose.
also oil filter changed was from napa 1334 to napa 1356, smaller oil filter dunno if it is an issue....
help!!! *cries*

Re: Intake manifold cruise control port problem
Is the CEL on and throwing an IACV code?
If so, check whether you unplugged or broke off the IACV connector on the back of the IM.

Re: Intake manifold cruise control port problem
No CEL.
I tried doing some visual inspection, and IACV connectors seem fine.
but i found square grey/white connector right above the oil filter, which is unplugged or unused.
