Re: installing a/c in cx
This one has been asked a few times. I recently did it to my 97 CX hatch (Haven't installed it yet but I have all the parts). My car was an AC delete car so I already had the place to put the AC button and the wiring was already there under the hood to hook up the condenser. Your best bet is to go to a junk yard and rip out everything from a civic that is attached to the AC components. But you will need a:
Compressor (right under the power steering pump)
Tensioner
AC belt (attached to the crankshaft pulley and the compressor)
Low pressure hose (Bigger hose that connects the compressor to the evaporator)
High pressure hose (Smaller hose, connects compressor to to the condenser, then to the drier and then the evaporator)
Receiver/drier (looks like a can, near the washer fluid tank)
Condenser (Right next to the radiator)
Evaporator (Pain to get to. Right behind the glove box, make sure you take the thermostat with it)
Fuses/ AC clutch relay
AC diode (I've seen these in a few different places. Some behind the fuse panel, mine was on the passenger side above the ECU)
AC wire harness if your car isn't already wired for it (Starts near passenger headlight and runs between the rad and bumper the ends near the drivers side headlight.) If your car already has it, you'll see a wire harness with a white cap on it hanging near the drivers side headlight.
I think that's it.
I recommend getting a new belt and receiver/drier. Once you have everything installed, take it to an AC recharge place and get them to vacuum test it and recharge it for you.

Re: installing a/c in cx
remember you using a serie b engine you need to use a integra compressor
with b18 base or if you want to use a civic compressor you need to buy a del sol b16 or crv compressor base.

Yeah, you can use a compressor off a B series engine or you can grab the compressor bracket off a 97-01 CRV and you can use the D series compressor on that I believe.

Re: installing a/c in cx
If you end up having to rip everything out of another car yourself, you'll quickly find out how much of a pain in the *** the evaporator is to get out. It sits against the firewall inside the car, halfway between the glove box and center console. You can get it out without removing the center console. Just take the glove box out completely and remove the metal brace behind it and you should be able to fight it out. In non A/C cars, there is just an empty black box where the evaporator would be so you'll have to remove that box from your car too.
