Installing AEM SR on 96 civic
Just got my short ram air intake in. I tired installing it but failed miserably. The SR seems too short to reach to the place where the original bolts were what can i do? and my air filter box is broken where can i get a new one?
basically : (not my car just eg.)
the metal part sticking out dosen't reach the bolt.

Re: Installing AEM SR on 96 civic
That intake in the picture you posted is not the right one for your engine. Your car has a D16Y7 in it, which has the vertical facing throttle body, not like the horizontal one on a say D16Z6 or a D16Y8 for example. In that picture part of the original intake is still on the car (the giant black box). For that specific intake, the stock OEM filter is actually in that box. So either this person is running two filters for a dumb reason or just took out the OEM one and somehow left the box in, for another dumb reason. That box should come out completely and the AEM piping will fit right over the throttle body.

Just like that. Although that brand is not AEM, it is installed the exact same way. Make sure you have the right intake for your motor.
