Default Installed tranny, but wont start.

I just installed my tranny with a CTR LSD, its all back together excepted for the axles. Connected the battery & nothing, the Walbro fuel pump obviously comes on but no crank no nothing. All my grounds are connected, battery was in my house all winter, but still need to be put on the charger for a few hours, any ideas?

Battery or starter?

Double check the ground wire attached to the transmission. Otherwise, charge the battery and then go from there.

I would guess that because the starter is attached to the transmission, and you just replaced it that it has something to do with the starter...I have heard of people tapping the starter lightly while another person cranks the vehicle over, but that's kid of an old school idea. I have used it and seen it work first hand though. Also I believe there is a starter signal fuse somewhere on your vehicle. You might want to check that. Good luck!

the 7.5amp starter signal fuse was good. i have a hunch it might be battery related, with no crank of any kind, the ground that goes from the tranny to the body on the pass-side is connected along with the rest of the connectors.

Yeah, I think the problem is the battery, though you could also check the starter switch located at the top of the clutch pedal.

Since your battery sat all winter in your house, I would say battery. I overlooked that part whe I first viewed this thread. Although warm temperatures are better for batteries, sitting uncharged all winter will def. be a problem come spring. I have had batteries that sit 2 or 3 weeks and lose their charge. Honda batteries aren't the largest guys out there either. Good luck!

I removed the starter today & took it to the auto store & the starter works PERFECT.

Anyone have an idea?

Check the battery ground wire. Next pull out your voltmeter. Check whether you have battery voltage at the large black wire attached to the starter and at the smaller Blk/Wht wire attached to the starter solenoid when clutch pedal depressed and the key is turned to ON(III).

Check to see if you have voltage at the small wire that goes to the starter when you turn the key to start. I usually use a 12 volt test light.
