3rd gen integra.. Car clicks but doesn't start
So my car clicks, but doesn't crank.
tested battery to be 12.8V
checked all ground and is tighten
checked all fuses and they're good
tested starter terminal (under hood fuse box) to battery to be 12.4V
jumped the starter by connecting battery to starters signal and it turns on right away
tested starter signal and it was 6V (HERES THE PROBLEM)
so wtf is causing it to drop to 6V? I didn't have time to check the starter relay yet, but would that be the problem? Or is it the wire? Anything else I should test?
GOT IT FIXED!! Stupid wire from battery to the fuse was corroded or something. I changed it and it worked like a charm. Thanks

Re: 3rd gen integra.. Car clicks but doesn't start
Just tested with the meter on the starter. When I try to start it, the starter is only getting 6V. I measure the connection from the starter (under hood fuse box) to the battery and it is at 12V. So wtf is causing it to have a drop like that? I reconnected all the ground to make it tight just to be sure. The signal wire going to the battery looks good. Anything else I can check to figure wtf is causing this? Can the starter relay or something cause this?
I didn't have time to test anything else since I have work, but will check the starter relay and whatever else I can think of... if you had this problem and fixed it then let me know... any advice would help

The thick wire going to the battery is the direct supply which pulls a big amount of Amps (up to 200 Amps), if its pulling the battery down to less than 9V, the car wont attempt start. Have you gotten your battery tested (to rule out bad cells)? Have you checked the thinner wire (the one going to the starter solenoid), that wire tends to get brittle and break. If those check out good, then possibly your ignition switch can be going out.

For sure its the wire going to the solenoid because it's only getting 6V. I just don't know where it leads to so I can make a new wire. And what gauge is that wire?

If I remember correctly that goes to the ignition switch (not 100%) and might be 16-22 gauge wire, not much is needed its just signaling the solenoid to engage.

Okay thanks, I'll test the ignition switch. Hope that's it so I can just change the damn thing or change the wire.
