INDIVIDUAL THROTTLE BODIES
I have a 95 civ with a jdm b16 with intake, header, exhaust, chipped p28 (untuned) and a stage 3 clutch.
do you guys think ITB's would be to much of a drastic mod right now??
what gains should i expect from this??
is this a good mod for my next step??
and if i do this...a conservative "street" tune will be applied.
THANKS IN ADVANCE

ITBs would not be a good next mod in my opinion. You would benefit much more by increasing the compression, adding some cams, and then having the car tuned properly.

ITB's SUCK for daily driving, and really for the price you pay you dont gain the power. like was said above a properly build head with a good set of cams and a tune will yeild great power gains and more drivability over ITB's

Re: INDIVIDUAL THROTTLE BODIES
they don't "suck" per se but just a huge inconvenience. he's going to need a really good tune, probably some new EMS, and a lot of time on the dyno to get a proper tune. pretty pointless modification when the head isn't even built yet.

first thing is they are so touchy. any temp changes, pressure changes, humidity changes, altitude changes etc. will make the car out of tune and run bad. also why would you wanna drive around without filtering any air that flows through your motor everyday? just a recipe for disaster. ITB's are meant for race cars
