Default if you have a b18C (GS-R) in an EG help me out here

i've gone through all 400 of the threads for search "IAB" and where am i? lost still

i've wired correctly. my knock sensor is working so i know my connections are good but...

my IAB does not flip when my car starts (close). it doesn't move when i turn the key.

all the wiring (engine harness, indash, etc...) are out of an AUTOMATIC 94 del sol S.

there is now a JDM manual P72 ECU.

i go to wire up my IAB and i see a green wire with a black strip in the A17. i figure, that's probably the automatic wire from the P06.

so... i found that wire on my driverside shock tower and i used it instead.
i also have the other yellow/black wire from the EVAP (A25) wire.

what the hell is wrong?

the iab solenoid needs power when the ignition is on, i'm not sure whether or not the black/yellow wire you are using is powering it. check with a multimeter?

also if that doesn't make it work, i'd just run a wire straight from the ecu to the iab to be 100% sure where the wire is going.

2 things, the iab was a positive trigger on the OBD1 cars and a negative trigger on the OBD2 cars. so that could be one issue, also disconnect the vacuum hose going to the IAB and then suck on it, if it does nothing and makes a sucking sound then its bad, if it moves the butterfly its fine. Hope this helps u out some.

there is a vacuum bulb on the timing belt side of the intake manifold this is what moves the butterflies when the motor is running it uses vacuum to move. There is a hose the goes to the top to the bottom intake manifold, pull it off at the vacuum bulb place a spare hose on it and then just suck on it, if it moves then that portion is fine. the only things left is the wiring and the lil vacuum canister/switch under the intake manifold.

Here is a pic that i uploaded to my site for you. Number 13 is what i am talkin about.
