Idle question, yes i searched.
Ok quick question, i know the iacv could be a problem, but i dont think it is.
heres my problem, say im driving the car normal, shifting from 1st..2nd..3rd,4th, 5th then redlight, when i throw it back into neutral, the rpms will bounce from 800 to 1500 then most of the time it goes back to 800ish, what could be the problem?
and sometimes after hard driving the car idles at 1100 after doinng the erratic bounce,
sorry im just **** about my cars running right
oh, and it does have cams and such.

Have you done anything with the coolant lately? Air stuck in the system will cause this problem. Start your car when it's cold with the radiator cap off, turn the heat to high, let the temp come up and wait until the fans kick on. You may spill a little fluid. When the fans kick on the warm, expanded fluid will cool. Have new fluid ready to put in so the system doesn't draw air back into it. If this isn't it and based on the limited info we have, go with the IAC valve. Yes, coolant goes through here as well, so you may want to pull one of the hoses and make sure it's got coolant and not an air pocket. It's a good idea to put some lubricant on the IAC valve if you do have to take it out. I'm sure it has a little carbon build up on it. Make sure it can rotate freely.

If your motor has a fitv (fast idle thermo valve) that could also be the problem. It is located right under the TB. After the car warms up pull of the intake hose at the TB look inside you will see 2 holes cover the bottom hole with your finger if you feel vacuum the fit is leaking and causing the bouncing idle. remove it clean it and reassemble. there are several diys in the archive. If you don't have a fitv and only have the iacv remove it clean the screen reinstall and test.
