Default idle and acceleration problems

ok idle bouces from 1500 to 2000 rpms constantly iac valve does not rise or lower it when i disconnect it. and it wraps out every gear way too fast.

to find out if its your iacv that needs to be cleaned (and most all of them do) cover the hole in the throttle body with your finger, and if the surging goes away, you need to remove it and clean it per the DIY in the FAQ. and i agree with civicjoe about the clutch. when you go to accelerate from a stop, what is the rpm at to get the car moving? if its anything over 2 grand you should think about checking your clutch.

don't think its my clutch it just wraps out realy fast i found something similiar on here that said it could be a vacuum leak i'm hoping it is. the clutch should be fine it was when i took the engine out 4 days ago

found it was a huge vac leak at the intake manifold gasket
