ideling drops when lights,wipers,ac is on .....please reply
i have a 95 civic ex and my problem is that when i turn on my head lights and wipers and ac when the car is on the rpm drops under 1000rpm and sometimes car wanting to turn off i already put a new battery and made the amps on my alternator higher(90amps)and even got it checked out in the computer and everything came out good. so please help me whoever had this problem before....... thanks....

it sounds like u might have a draw in the cranking and charging system. disconnect the negative battery terminal and hook a test light up to it on the cable side and hold the other end on the negative post and if it lights up then u have a draw.

I had the exactly same problem with my 95 hatch. the rpm drops to about 400 and sometimes the engine dies, and my battery seems not charging at all. The sudden voltage drop even caused damage to the ballast of my indiglo gauges. I had my alternator tested and it was dong fine (75amps) I had new 1smf 60Amp-hr maintenance-free battery so that was surely not a problem.
I replaced my stock battery terminals with lead type and it solved the problem. I even soldered the cables to it for better conduction. The idling still dropped from 800rpm to about 700 rpm when I turned on the head lights, fog lights and hit the brakes but that was fairly normal for quite old cars. I have a FICD on my a/c so if I turn it on, my idle goes up 1000rpm even when all electrical loads are on.
