IAB in B18C wire
Hey guys i finished my swap liek a month ago but im still puzzled about something.
I have read everywhere that you need to run the IAB wire to the ECU. I have a 93 civic Si. When i was doing the swap we never had to run that. all the plugs were connected and nothing was left unpluged except for the knock sensor which was the only wire i had to run.
I dont really know why i didnt have to run the IAB wire. My question is that Did i connect this properly or what? I used the stock Si harness. The car runs good and strong, but im wondering if im actually using the IAB connector or not to activate the second stage intake. I have certainly taken it past the point when it kicks in and i have not shown any CEL. Will this mean that its working perfectly?

I'm pretty sure you have to run that wire yourself. Here's a wiring diagram.

yes you have to run wires. you nongsr harness doesnt have that wiring. do yourself a favor and get a type r style intake mani for $50 and put that on and then dont worry about the iabs. and then throw your gsr intake mani on your garage roof to get a tan for the next 3 years

Re: IAB in B18C wire
The IAB switch is a 2 wire plug. The pink wire goes to A17 on you ecu, and the other wire is a 12v+, and can be tapped into your O2 sensor 12v (not sure what wire, but you can find out by looking at a schematic from your manual).
You will not get a CEL if your IAB is not hooked up. If the IABs open like they should, you will feel it WAY stronger than your vtec, and it kicks in way later (6k), and you VTEc should engage at like 4800 on your stock gSR.
