I spun a bearing. ruin the world?
i have a Stock 99dx it's pretty clean I have an aftermarket paint job. almost looks like s2000 red. Also i have so acura rims with a 3 in drop. I have skunk 2 springs and kyb adjustable shocks.
NeWays I dawg the **** out of my engine the other night. turns out i had little to no oil in my car thanks to thin synthetic oil and a leakin oil pan. I hear a tapping in the motor and cant figure out what it was. next day i change my oil and its still going on. its not coming from the head so i think is is a bearing.
so my questions is should i buy a new motor or would it be worth the couple of hundred dollars just to fix the d16y7? any help or comments would be appreciated. Thanx

Well, how much money can you spend? You could buy a B series if possible, or you could get yourself a HELM manual for $70 and due repair the bearings yourself. You will save a ton of money and you will learn something also.

I have decided to either get an ls swap with b16 pistons to raise compression, and run a b16 tranny or just get a gsr swap. do yall know of any good good places in texas?

Well I ended up doing that. It fucked uo about a week ago with a simple grinding of metal since the rod dearings were f'd up. Yesterday I dorve about ten miles running an errand and halfway home the grinding got louder and it happened in every gear. barely made it into the nieghborhood when from the lack of oil pressure my car dies at a gas station. I had to push it home. I was ****** pissed. But then i realized im gettin a b series so it went away real real quick.

If its a good mototr i appreciate you sending me his name. Also I found a 94 and up gsr motor on japanstarmotors.com and it was only 2800 for a complete swap. i want to know if they are legit or if any one has gone through them. any feed back would be excellent
