type r is larger but the civic si piping runs through the front right hole like all ek/ej/em1's - the teg piping won't be able to be routed that way. short ram's a different story: they all will work. i'm running a 3" teg short ram on my d16 ej.

Buy a generic Ram Air off ebay, please don't buy AEM unless your serious about spending that much money on a intake pipe. Btw, they make hybrid intakes, check their site http://www.aempower.com
but for 300$, id spend 40$ on a generic one. cause I did, and theres no noticable difference.

If you want cold air AEM i believe it's 3 inch piping i used to have one in my integra LS engine worked great. I'd suggest you get a by passvalve if you live in a rainy area so you dont suck up water from some puddle your run over. Hope that helps a little.

Get used AEM CAI for a 99 Civic SI from Ebay, will fit perfectly.
I'm just using a stock ITR arm and a EG box with K & N filter.
I like the stock look.

The Civic Si intake will fit perfectly on your car and the diameter of the pipe is 2 3/4" (AEM cold air)

On the street it's great, I love the throttle response.
On the butt dyno, it makes good low end and mid power but lack high end.
When I go to the track, I put on a K & N (Cone Style) for GSR with the OEM ITR arm.
Works great
I would recommend it
I do not like my car too loud when I'm on the streets.
Too many cops........
