I just did a d15 swap and got my civic but its Surging Whats wrong
i just recently blew my d15 in my civic... but i replaced it and had many problems trying to get the new motor to work which is also a d15 but it is surging... n when i start it the idle jumps from about 1500 to 3000 rpms.. constantly.. whats wrong can some one please help me and get bak to me at dboy4real@aol.com.. thank you so much i am just a 17 year old boy trying to fix his street car .. thank u

This has been covered quite a few times.
If it's only happening during warmup, it's a good chance your FITV is dirty and needs to be cleaned (instructions are in the FAQ section of this forum).
If it's happening after your car reaches standard operating temperature it's probably either your IACV or you have a vacuum leak.
You can swap IACV's (idle air control valve) and see if the problem persists, or you can do a pressure test on the system (which'll reveal vacuum leaks).
Either way will direct you towards the answer .

Yeah @ OP: Check that first, it's simplest. They both use 3 prong plugs (plugs look the same, very easy to get mixed up...though I've never had....or heard of anybody else doing so...though it seems to happen quite often here on the forum).
